“Mewa” is a house located on a plot by a picturesque lake. Its shape refers to the modern form of a barn. The façade made of charred boards goes perfectly with warm and rustic interiors.
The interior of the house was integrated with the surroundings. This effect was achieved by using accordion windows. They allow the living area to be opened to the lake and the entrance veranda, turning the living room and dining room into a covered terrace. At the same time, this solution allows for passive ventilation of the house by opening both windows on hot days. The common element of both interiors and facades is black wood. The use of fired boards also in the interior finishing enhances the effect of visual interpenetration of the living room and both terraces.
