House in Żółwin near Warsaw

Projects of this type fit perfectly into the natural and urbanized surroundings, and one of the most important advantages of this type of houses is energy efficiency.

One of the projects by Henri Woods EU, designed by the architectural studio Bjerg Arkitektur A/S, fits perfectly into the circle of Scandinavian-style buildings. This is an example of a new generation of houses made using European CLT technology(Cross-Laminated Timber). This modern construction method is gaining popularity in wooden structures, especially in ecological and sustainable construction.

The facade of the house is covered with wood that has been previously treated with fire according to the old Japanese firing method SHOU SUGI BAN. The boards used in this project are the KARPATIA-1 variant made of Scandinavian spruce. Not only fired boards they gain from extraordinary aesthetic values, such as the unique charred structure and depth of color, but also from durability and resistance to weather conditions.
