The house in Podkowa Leśna is located on the outskirts of the city and surrounded by old trees.
The building was located in such a way as to preserve the existing trees, in particular the huge oak tree growing on the axis of the entrance. The trees on the plot also became the inspiration for the façade made of Siberian larch preserved with fire using the Japanese Shou Sugi Ban method. A fired board in the SILESIA-2 variant was chosen. The building is composed of three volumes: two create the residential and technical zone on the ground floor, and the third, “hanging”, provides a roof for the living room and the entrance area. The spacious living room has glass on all sides, which makes the living area open to views of the park in three directions.
