Stodoła nad Jeziorem is a single-family house in the type of a modern barn, designed by architects from the GT Architekci group.
It was intended to be a simple rectangular shape, with a black roof and a façade in the same color.
The investors decided on a wooden facade in the Shou Sugi Ban style. For this purpose, tanned and finished boards in the SILESIA-2 variant were used. The deep black of the building’s facade is broken by elements made of light brown, natural wood. Matte black sheet metal was placed on the roof and photovoltaic panels were also installed. Large glazing allows you to admire the beauty of the surrounding nature, as the house is located close to the forest and a small lake.
The simplicity of a traditional barn is combined with modern technical solutions that allow you to live not only comfortably but also ecologically and economically.
